by Bryan S!

Anyone attempting Lord of the Rings costumes this year? I was toying with the idea of making a Boromir costume. Any ideas or suggestions on this?

I am having a ring wraith cloak custom made for me by my friends mom, who is a good seamstress. There will be three of us this year dressed in matching cloaks. If you know someone who sews, you can go to any fabric store and look through the SImplicity patterns. There will be one with a big cloak on it. Make the full cloak with arms and the hood. Now to make it really look right, you actually need to cut the hood about 1 inch larger all around and double it up. Make one hood, sew it on, and make another and sew it over the first one. This will make it heavy enough to hang over your face right. I also recomend a very heavy fabric. Mine should be done by next weekend. If you want, I can give you my e-mail address and send you a picture of it when it is finished.
