(10/17/1998•22:20) how do you age a mummy? [edit]Archive Message
by greg

besides staining a sheet in tea, what else can one do to make a mummy look 3000 years old? is there any kind of spray-on material which might give a good effect?

I just posted a response for aging your mummy using the classic tea method. We just made a mummy for our front porch and used spray polyurethane on it. The original idea was to keep the mummy wrapped, but it also ended up giving the fabric and aged yellow look. I don't know how this would work with your body inside of the fabric, though!
